britbowl xxv london

Saturday September 24th 2011 at Crystal Palace (London) is a big day for the Warrior Nation

Our Senior Squad (19+ year olds) and Youth Squad (14-16 year olds) have both had great regular seasons, they now have one final battle: The Britbowl FIinal.

The reward is to be crowned BAFA BRITBOWL XXV NATIONAL CHAMPIONS.

In its brief history, the Warrior Nation have been no strangers to championship football, having at least one squad at the finals every year since our creation in 2005.

The Warriors Youth Program were in the Britbowl Finals in 2009 where they were runners up to Clyde Valley Falcons. In 2010 the squad came back and beat Woodham Warriors to be crowned Under 16 National Champions for the first time. As the current National Champion, our future stars head into the 2011 Britbowl determined to hold on to their title crown.

The Senior Program is also familiar with the Britbowl Championship. In 2008, the program entered senior football in the UK and went through the season to win Division 2, they were crowned CHAMPIONS when they beat Tamworth Phoenix and were promoted to Division 1 for the 2009 season.

2009 saw the seniors take control of Division 1, they beat East Kilbride Pirates in the final and were again promoted, this time to the top-flight of British American Football; Premiere Division.

2010, the program didn't make it to the Championship game, but that's made them even more determined and in 2011 they are there again, their opponent is cross town rival; the London Blitz (2010 National Champions).

The Warriors and Blitz have played each other twice this year, the first game in May was hard fought draw (7-7), the second match in July was also a tough match with the Blitz coming away with an 8-2 win. The Blitz are the only team in the Premiere Division the Warriors have not beaten yet, but we are hungry, we are confident and we are prepared.
