COBRAS AND JUNIOR KITTED QUALIFY FOR THE PLAYOFFS

The London Warriors Urban American football program have 2 great reasons to celebrate the 2010 season.

With the Warriors youth team just missing out on the playoffs, the Warriors program will be represented by their Junior Kitted program and possibly their senior program, Cobras at the National finals weekend being held on the 18-19 September.

Despite being defeated by the reigning National Champions, the London Blitz on Sunday, the premiership new boys, Cobras qualified for the play offs where they will once again face pre season favourites Blitz face at Finsbury Park, Sunday 12th September.

Head Coach Tony Allen "To have made the play offs this season is a bonus. Considering we are a young team, 3 years in existence, to be able to end our first season in the premiership with a winning record is a testament to the potential of our young players. Having said that right now the Blitz are the benchmark that we have to work hard to achieve."

The Junior kitted Warriors qualified for the playoffs as the number 1 seed on the back of an impressive undefeated season. The junior playoffs will take place at the BAFA-CL finals weekend being held on Saturday September 18th at Sixways, home of Worcester Rugby Club where they will line up against the best Junior teams is in the country.

"Last year we fell at the last hurdle against an experienced Clyde Valley team, hopefully this season we will be the experienced team to beat and will be able to overcome our opponents to become national champions" Junior HC Jamie Nelson
